The details of the requirements, eligibilities and application procedures to presume a career in NMC & NHS United Kingdom will be addressed
The Placement and Career Guidance cell of NUINS organized a career guidance talk on International Nursing Preparatory Programme. The guest speaker emphasized on the communication skills, assertiveness and time management required to accomplish the career in global perspectives. He also detailed about the requirements, eligibilities and application procedures to presume career in NMC & NHS United Kingdom. Seventy six students of IV year B. Sc (N) students & one faculty of NUINS attended the session.
Outcome: Students expressed that queries related to IELTS and OET was clarified. Students informed that they were familiar with the process of applying to UK.
Campus interview was organized by the Placement cell, NUINS for the final year outgoing students of B. Sc (N) on 07/08/2021 at the University auditorium, Paneer. Mrs. Jeevitha Alva, Placement officer NUINS,welcomed and introduced Mrs. Shanthi Bhattacharya GM- Nursing and Mr.Dinesn HR Manager of Yashoda Hospital to the students. Mrs. Shanthi Bhattacharya Yashoda Hospital introduced the hospital and its policies to the students. A written examination and face-to-face interview were conducted by Mrs. Shanthi Bhattacharya and Mr. Dinesh, HR Manager. A total of 75 students attended and 64 students were selected. The campus interview process was completed by 12.30 pm.
Outcome: Among 75 students 64 were selected and dates of joining have been informed.

Mrs.Jeevitha Alva, Placement officer NUINS, welcomed and introduced Mrs.Sunitha Fernanades Nursing and Ms . Safalya of Ruby hall Hospital, Pune to the students. Mrs.Sunitha Fernandes explained in detail about the hospital facilities and their policies to the students. A link was sent for written examination through Google form. The interview was conducted by Mrs.Sunitha Fernandes and her team. A total of 22 students attended. Principal Dr. Fatima Dsilva and Sunitha Fernandes had a Discussion on various aspects which can be implemented among the students in the future. The campus interview process was completed by 12.30 pm.
Outcome: All 22 students were selected and dates of joining have been informed.
The Placement and Career Guidance cell in association with GTECH, NHS UK organized “Career Guidance Program on NHS career for National and International Nurses & OSCE ” on 24-06-2022 at 9.30 am. Dr.Sabitha Nayak, Vice Principal, NUINS welcomed the Resource person and the delegates from various Institutes. Dr. Madapura Shashidhara, Associate specialist Anaesthetics, Lead & SAS Tutor Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, NHS was the resource person of the day. He focused on insights into NHS careers and conducted OSCE on trauma care. The speakers explained to students the importance of nurses and their status in UK. They also oriented students about the hospital setup, how to apply independently, how to get decision letters from the government, and about the working hours and salary structure. Mr.Vidya Shankar explained the importance of GTECH in placing nurses in the UK. Mrs. Sali Matron, explained the NEWS score and its importance in patient care. Mrs. Namrita coordinated the program. Dr. Gayathri Bhat, Professor of Anesthesiology & Critical Care, KSHEMA, helped in organizing and managing the skill stations. Mrs. Jeevitha Alva, Placement officer, of NUINS thanked the resource person and delegates for their keen interest and participation. The program was compeered by Ms.Jessia, a third-year student at, NUINS.
Outcome: Delegates expressed that the session helped them to clearly understand the difference in job opportunities in various private and government sectors. They also expressed that queries related to the OET exam and processing fees were clear.

The members of the interview panel consisted of Mr. Praves, a UK delegate, Mr. Arun UK representative, Mrs.Sandra Jacob divisional manager, and Mrs. Jincy Jose Principal from Ajinora Global ventures. Mr. Arun a representative, from the UK, explained in detail about the hospital facilities and their policies. A written test was conducted followed by an Interview. A total of 13 participants attended the interview. An offer letter has been offered to all the people with an option that they need to clear their OET or IELTS within six months. The campus interview process was completed by 1.30 pm.
Outcome: All 13 alumni were selected and a provisional offer letter was provided.
