The Women's Cell and Youth Red Cross Wing of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences organized a Guest talk on "Women's Health: Facts about Fat" on 8th March 2022 at the NUINS Learning Centre. Dr. Nalini M, Women's Cell In-charge welcomed the gathering. Dr. Arun Thejaus KP, BNYS, MD (Yoga), (PhD), Asst. Professor & In-charge of Nitte Centre for Integrative Medicine & Research (N-CIMR) was the Guest Speaker for the program. He emphasized the significance of healthy fat in women and its role. Essay Writing Competition

An Essay Writing Competition on the theme 'Duties of Young Citizens in a Democracy' was organized on virtual mode by Nitte (Deemed to be University) as a part of the Republic Day Celebrations on 24th January 2022. The Department of Child Health Nursing, Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences hosted an Ophthalmic camp as a part of a community outreach program at Sri Ramakrishna Aided High School, Harekala, Pavoor on 15th November 2021. The screening camp began with a welcome address by the Headmistress of the school. Prof. Sujatha R provided an orientation on the objective of the camp. The visual acuity and eye issues of 156 high school students were assessed with the help of a team of 2 ophthalmic PG students, 2 interns, and 2 optometrists.
